Special Programs Spotlight: Sign Kind

Sign Kind is a youth-led organization on a mission to make communication more inclusive. Their team joined Rogers students during specials for interactive sign language lessons, teaching fun, useful signs while showing how ASL can help people connect. Students had the opportunity to learn new signs, participate in engaging activities, and experience another way people communicate with one another. 💙 A very special thank-you to Sign Kind!
Their generosity helped make this incredible experience possible for our Rogers students. Sign Kind works to bridge communication gaps between hearing, deaf, hard-of-hearing, and nonverbal communities by introducing the benefits of sign language in fun and accessible ways. |
Past Events
Author Visit: Students welcomed a visiting author and had the opportunity to explore the world of storytelling, ask questions, and learn more about the creative process behind writing.
Just Say No Magic Show: This entertaining program combined magic with an important message about making positive choices and saying no to drugs in a fun, memorable way.
Rowdy’s Pass the STAAR: Students prepared for STAAR testing with an energetic and motivational program designed to build confidence and encourage them to do their best.
Yuck Science Show: Science came to life through interactive, messy experiments that introduced students to scientific concepts in an engaging and entertaining way.
