What is the Rogers RAD Dads program?
Rogers RAD Dads is a volunteer group for dads, grandfathers, and other positive male role models who want to make a difference in our school community. RAD Dads can assist with opening car doors at drop-off and pick-up, covering lunch and recess duties to give teachers a break, and volunteering for special opportunities like Mystery Reader, Field Day, and other school events. RAD Dads can choose which opportunities work best with their schedule, and are under no obligation to participate in a set number of activities or events. To participate, volunteers must complete a background check and join the Rogers PTA. It’s a great way to get involved, connect with other families, and support our students and staff!

Rad dads Program Purpose and Benefits
- To serve as a positive male role model for the students, demonstrating by their presence, that education is important.
- Schools gain an extra set of eyes and ears. The presence of a father or father figure will provide an additional deterrent to bullying, enhance a sense of security in the building, and will help to create an environment conducive to learning.
- To get a glimpse of students’ everyday world and learn about the increasingly complex challenges and decisions today’s youth are facing.
- Gain a greater awareness of the positive impact they can have on their student’s life in three critical areas including: academic performance, self-esteem, social behavior.
