PTA Membership 101

The Rogers PTA helps connect Rogers staff members, teachers and hundreds of parents in our Rogers community as partners and advocates in our children’s education. We aim to ease the burden of the teachers and staff while helping to provide fun and exciting learning activities for students and parents.  Rogers PTA provides a way to support students day-to-day in meaningful ways, meet our school's needs that are outside the scope of the school's budget and also to advocate for kids in government.  The Rogers PTA benefits EVERY child at our school and is a valuable resource for every Rogers family! 

 

PTA members can make a difference simply by joining. Parents, extended family, and friends are welcome to join and support the Rogers community.  By joining the PTA, you can:

  • Stay connected to what is happening at the school
  • Meet other parents and teachers to build relationships and share ideas
  • Access the school directory online
  • Join our board and set an example for our students to follow and greatly encourage our teachers and staff
  • Become part of the largest child advocacy organziation in Texas - with over 500,000 members--and have input in major legislative and policy issues affecting children through the state 
  • Have access to great discounts both locally and nationally

 


 

 

 

I've got the PTA bug...where do I sign up?!

Complete the membership form and send it to school with your child along with your membership dues or JOIN OUR PTA and sign up online right now.  Individual dues are $10 and Family Dues are $15.

 

 

 

 

I am interested...but I have a few questions.

 

Q: If I join, do I have to go to meetings? Not at all. Being a PTA Member simply gives you the right to exercise your voice and vote on topics at the General Membership PTA meetings.  We would love to have you, but attendance is never mandatory.

 

Q: If I join, do I have to spend a lot of time volunteering at the school?  I work full time.  No, joining the PTA is not the same as volunteering. If you choose to volunteer as your schedule allows we would LOVE to have the help!  We believe there is great value in volunteering at the school for both the parents and students alike. There will be various volunteer opportunities available throughout the year so that we can accommodate a variety of schedules.

 

Q: What are membership dues used for? Your membership dollars go toward benefiting EVERY child at Rogers. The PTA helps fund numerous programs, products for the school (i.e. books, ipads), all of the parties and more...much more!
  A portion of membership dollars also go to the Texas PTA and National PTA.  LEARN MORE about what Rogers PTA does for our children.
